Peggy Karr Glass is a long time favorite at Smith Galleries. Pictured is her 12" square platter in the Fish School pattern. This is just one of many delightful patterns. Each piece is made by hand by dusting glass enamels through stencils onto a plate of glass. A second piece of special glass called fused glass is layered on top and then it is put in a slump mold and placed in a kiln. The piece is heated to 1600 degrees at which point the two layers fuse together.Peggy Karr Glass is a very popular gift item.
