Smith Galleries features a large selection of jewelry by Mary and Lou Ann.Mary and Lou Ann are inspired by the awesome power and potential of the atom. Chemistry, cellular structure, DNA, mathematics, spirituality, the nature of reality and our planetary travels provide the primary sources of fodder for color, form and texture. They are drawn to exploring the void in our work. The void is the space between breathes/atoms.
They are both trained silversmiths who met while they were students at the University of New Mexico. Their work is truly collaborative and they share equally in all aspects of design and production.
